Like the branch on which the bird is resting.
The central position is okay even if it would have been better with an off center placement. Difficult to find a crop that can help you do just that though.
Could possibly be a little sharper, especially around the eye.

Great job, Steven. I find orioles very skittish, and so far, even with a 400mm lens, I dont have any decent shot of one (feeder birds dont count). You nailed it nicely with a 300.

Would crop off the distracting elements at the bottom (cut off leaf/twig), right (cut off leaves) and left (cut off leaves).
Bird could be sharper.
